Our community Outreach program aims to provide education and support to families with young children. These services assist women through this very challenging period in their lives. Our mission is to educate and raise the quality of life for our community by providing disenfranchised populations with diapers for infants, children, and senior citizens; ensuring that everyone in the Metropolitan Detroit area can be clean, dry and healthy.

Samaritan House provides assistance to low income families and individuals who reside within our service area. Our service area extends from Dequindre Road east to Omo Road, and from 23 Mile Road north to Bordman Road. The area served by Samaritan House includes the Villages of Romeo and Armada, Townships of Ray, Bruce, Armada and Washington, and both Shelby and Macomb Townships north of 23 Mile Rd. If you live within our service area and would like to learn more about our programs and for what assistance you may qualify, please contact Samaritan House. As Samaritan House is not open 7 days a week, phone messages may be left on the answering machine at any time, and they will be addressed as soon as possible.

Q. Are there any costs to your services?
A. No. All of our services are free and confidential.
Q. Do you offer verification of pregnancy for Medicaid or insurance?
A. Yes. These services are offered at no cost to you.
Q. Can you determine the sex of my baby?
A. No, we only provide limited ultrasounds. We can make medical referrals after 12 weeks to a physician for that information.
Q. Do you have diapers and formula?
A. We offer a Mom and Baby Care Program that you can enroll in for these services, as well as many other programs. All our services are free and confidential.
